A friend sent me this link to an article on LDS.ORG in the Newsroom section. I think it would help every latter day saint to understand and promote why we need to stand up for what we believe in. Especially now that we are under attack. Please help me protect my family, and yours!

Same-Gender Attraction

The continuing public debate over same-gender marriage has prompted many questions from the news media, the general public and Church members in relation to the position of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the marriage issue specifically and on homosexuality in general.

The following interview was conducted with Elder Dallin H. Oaks, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church, and Elder Lance B. Wickman, a member of the Seventy. These senior Church leaders responded to questions from two members of the Church's Public Affairs staff. The transcript of the interview appears below in order to help clarify the Church's stand on these important, complex and sensitive issues.

Where's the sun now?

At bedtime I like to sing to my boys! Truth be told, I like to sing to them any time of day...but bedtime is the best time to lay down, relax, and sing! When it is time to start getting the boys ready for bed, I sing the 'So long, farewell' song! "The sun has gone to bed and so must I!... Goodbye, goodbye...."! This has been a hit at our house! But it usually warrants Austin challenging me when I put him down for an afternoon nap. "But the sun's not to bed!" It can be cute...sometimes. :o)
So the other day after Austin and Jackson woke up from an afternoon nap, they came out of their room and cuddled up to me on the couch. I asked Austin how his nap was. He frowned... and then he looked at me, smiled big, then started to sing, "The sun is up in the sky and so am I! Hi-Hi, Hi-Hi,..." (in relatively the same tune!). I just about rolled off the couch laughing so hard! What a funny boy he is!
